bought the pod hd500 ![]()
while thats great but when i downloaded line 6 monkey, the edit software and the drivers and when i opened the edit it said "couldn't connect to pod hd500 the edit works with pod 1.30 and further "
I guess its the update issue but i'm a newbie at pod and i don't wana update it and then callibrate the whole exppression pedal and hard reset every thing
the thing i wana ask that if i update it to 2.0 will i have to callibrate the expression pedal and will i have to hard reset the pod as i havn't made any new presets, they're all factory presets and secondly if thats not possible how can i use the edit without updating anything? is it possible to use the older version of edit?
i guess my pods firmware is 1.10
I strongly recommend that you update your HD500 to the latest versions of everything, and then perform the post-installation procedures. It's not that hard - just follow the procedures below. You will benefit from the new features (and amps) in later firmware releases, and your editor software will be compatible with your Pod software.
Since you are new to it, and you dont have any old presets to save, ít will be much easier to do this than to try to work with old and incompatible software.
Here are the detailed procedures:

... make sure to do the golabl reset and pedal calibration..
