My new Spider 4 75 doesn't seem to recognize my Ovation LX

I picked up a new Spider 4 75 last week and have been having a blast playing with all the presets (not perfect, I know, but still fun.) I was using my Strat and everything was good, but last night I tried hooking up my Ovation LX to see what kind of sound I could get - and to my surprise the answer was nothing. I know the Ovation works fine because I doublechecked it with my old Fender Princeton.
So... do I have to do something special to get the Spider to recognize/work with an Ovation LX (or any other electric accoustic?)
Thanks in advance for any guidance,
Bill.
Maybe the battery in your Ovation died. I'm bad sometimes for leaving one of my electric acoustics plugged in and forgetting about it and then the battery goes stone cold dead.
Thanks SSstormtrooper. I did try a new battery, but no luck.
The Ovation (with both the new battery and old) drives my Fender Princeton amp just fine, but I can't get a peep out of my Spider 4.
I am beginning to wonder if the Spider just requires more input than the poor Ovation can put out?
Does anyone have an Ovation LX actually working with one of these?
Thansk in advance!
Bill.
