Guitarists equivalent of XD-V55

I received an email 2 days ago from Line6 talking about the new XD-V55 that's now shipping. There's also an intriguing article with Guy Coker, talking all about how this 4th Gen digital wireless is so awesome for guitarists and bassists.
But it appears the XD-V55 is only for microphones. If that is correct, what is the equivalent for guitarists? It can't be the Relay G50 which has been shipping for well over a year, is it?
The G50 does have excellent reviews. But if I'm going to buy a new Line6 wireless for my guitar, I'd like to purchase the latest and greatest.
Thanks for straightening out my confusion.
So I guess the G50 is the way to go for now? Or by no reply, should I infer that a new version is coming out very, very soon?
You could use a XD-V55 for your guitar if you wish. The technology is identical in all of our wireless units. The just have different ranges, channel counts and features. The sound is the same in all of them (not considering the multiple cable models). You would not be losing out on anything by using G50 as compared to V55 except than the Relay units has a pedalboard receiver and the V55 has a tabletop receiver.
There is also a 20 foot guitar cable setting in the XD-V55 Bodypack.
