Faulty Footswitch? A possible solution

I had a footswitch that began to be intermmitant. I took the switch apart, it's a pain to put back together, cleaned it lightly, but it didn't help at all. With the back panel removed, I used run of the mill Radio Shack Precision Electronics Cleaner and doused the sucker. The bomb.com, it worked. Don't use WD40 or any cleaner that has distillates. it must be residue free. If you're having a problem, try it.
Y'know I have a Boss GT-8 that I retired because of sticky switches (too much beer therapy from previous users of the stage) and I should really give this a go. The HD500 stays but there were some good FX on the GT8 that I would like to have access to. That plus the backup for gigs ! Thanks mate.
Does the GT10 have sealed switches or are they multi-part circuit board mounted like the HD. When you remove the set screw that holds the switch down to the top panel, the rest of the switch(spring, contact) just fall out. So the HD switch is penetrable by the cleaner. If the GT switch is a sealed unit, this method won't work.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
