Cost of podXT model pack for GX ($49.99) vs UX2 ($99.99) -what am I missing?

I own both devices. These days I use the UX2 and currently have my PF2.02 and PF1.12 licenses tied to the UX2. I own all the packs except podXT.

Can I buy for $49.99 ?

you can buy the model pack for ANY device... once its tied to your account it wont matter...
simply authorize the devices that you wish to use.

  Thanks. It sounds like one of the benefits of owning the gx is that all the add on packs are cheaper than if you do so with the ux series (based on the posted prices).
  
  I will transfer my license from my ux2 to the gx, then purchase the expansion pack, then transfer the whole damn thing back to my ux2.

    you don't have to transfer anything!
    simply buy the licenses... for whichever model its cheaper...
    then run the license manager and authorize BOTH the GX and the UX2...
    licenses will work with both. (up to 4 authorizations on your account)

      Hi,
      
      Just forgot to ask something simple. Currently all my licenses (PF1, PF2) are associated with my UX2 and my UX2 is the only device connected to my computer. To make use of the cheaper add-on price offered for the GX for the add on, even though i don't have to transfer licenses, should i run my computer with just the GX connected, or both GX and UX2?
      
      i prefer to avoid system crashes.
      
      Sorry for the last minute clarification request.

        in the end you'll only want to use one device at a time... but it won't matter which one is connected/authorized first when you buy the licenses.

        Is it possible to associate the podfarm 2 license with two devices (my GX and my UX2?). Podfarm 1 is associated with both devices as is the fx add on packs, but only the UX2 shows the option for podfarm2 in the license manager.
        
        I bought the GX back in 2009, so i don't think i got the free podfarm 2 upgrade on the GX. But I subsequentl bought the UX2 and i thought perhaps i could associate podfarm 2 with both to have the flexibility on the interfaces.
        
        Any experience with this? Thanks
        
        PS - thanks for your earlier advice. I have the add on packs now at the best price...

        its only possible to associate pod farm 2, with both devices if you bought it seperately...
        it's not possible to do this if you got a free upgrade or the version of pod farm was included with the device....
        you cannot share included or free licenses... only purchased ones... like model packs....

Hi guys, it seems this "one purchase fits all" concept actually applies well to units like GX and UX2 (which I own).
Would it be the same case with GX and PODXTlive??? I want to purchase the Metal Pack for the GX but use it in my UX2 and PODxtlive??

I wonder, because both the GX and the UX2 are audio interface, but the other one is a floorpedal. Would this be a problem???
How would I "install" them??? or does the PODxtlive already have these add-ons just waiting for activation??

  Same license works for the pod xt as well... up to four devices at one time your computer will count as a device so with all that you'd be at the limit but it would work no problem.
