Variax JT59 not working

Hey
I bought a Variax JT59 brand new out the box, had it for a week, then at band rehearsal the guitar started,
randomly jumping from guitars and changing tones constantly It would jump from up to 10 different
guitars in 5 seconds or so. I took it home a reinstalled the firmware. Now the think is totally useless.
I plug it into my HD500 and it contsantly resets my HD500 to the start up screen and relays in the
guitar chatter with a constant clicking noise. THIS Guitar is useless and I have had to pull out my trusty
Gibson again. Has anyone had anything simular. I am trying to deal with the Ebay store I purchased it
from and they are being less than helpfull.
I have used Line 6 for a long time but are getting a tad ****** off.
ANY ADVICE PLEASE ![]()
My 300 was doing that and I changed the encoder (model knob electronics) and a ribbon cable. All is back to 100%.
I would recommend sending it to L6 for this unless you can still get your money back.
Not something that is easy to do on your own.

Those are often contradictory statements....... buyer beware.
I would take it to an authorized Line 6 service centre for repair. Expect to pay.
I bought the guitar from a Ebay store that has 100% great feed back, It is a large guitar shop
in Sydney Australia. The box was fully sealed with all the tags and plastic sealed. There is
no doubt that the item was brand new. Looks like I got the friday build ![]()
Does anyone know who to deal with in Melbourne Australia?
Since it is brand new, it should be covered under the Line 6 warranty. I would open a support ticket and deal with Line 6 directly. They can advise you best on how to proceed.
