Right I have had my POD HD400 for a few weeks now and everything has been great, i get a computer so get the full use of it and activate warranty and it all works fine. So I have updated everything on the line 6 monkey program and disconnect it from the pc to use it more. I plugged it into my amp again, and nothing. no sound or signal. Take out the leads, they both work fine, double check the ports I insert them into and still nothing. The small screen is working fine, it shows the bank selection and everything else but the pedal board is just not working, can anyone help?
I think so...There is a peculiar thing about the HD400 and the USB controller. Your PC will actually detect it when the power is removed from the HD400...I have an HD400 and this has happened to me a couple of times...Basically, this usually means that you powered down the HD400 while the USB was still attached to the PC...I think what happens is that the HD400 switches to a partial PC mode where the USB level is at zero and it affects all outputs...For some reason, the condition does not clear on power up...Just my own running theory...
To get it back, power up the HD400, connect USB and fire up Edit or Monkey to make sure the connection is fully up...shut down Edit or Monkey and disconnect USB from the HD400 while the HD400 is powered up....just remember to always detach USB while the HD400 is on...
Please let us know how it goes...
I tried it but it did not work unfortunately, I dont recall powering it down while it was plugged in I read somewhere else that it may have been the flash software, apparently you can overwrite all of the flash slots including the factory ones, somehow I dont know, I dont even know why they made it possible to do that but there ya go. Anyway, The theory was to roll back the flash to the 1.10 update which i just done also and that still doesnt work. This things a real user unfriendly ****.
I have one more idea for you...
Uninstall Monkey..Download and install Monkey Version 1.37...When you flash the firmware, do it in safe mode...This the version of Monkey that was active at the time the current HD400 firmware was released...
Also...Did you calibrate the volume pedal? If that is out of whack, you can get this symptom too...hold D on power up and follow the prompts...
If that doesn't work, then I am starting to think your HD400 has bricked...I think you gotta do the support ticket thing
I think it could be the volume, when you say hold D on power up what do you mean
He means the footswitch labeled D.
Sorry yeah, I tried it man, and it worked, the whole calibration was messed up, thanks alot for all you help man, I appreciate it!
Ok so I have managed to make it work as long as wah is activeated can anyone tell me whats going on?
