looping function has dead spot?

Aafter I hit the Record button to loop the progression I just played on my guitar, the playback has a dead spot in it. Meaning,
it's as though the amp stops recording for a split second after I hit Record and there's a dead spot. So the playback is not seamless.
There's always this blank spot before the loop function kicks in.
The weird thing is I don't have this problem if I loop one of the song or drum tracks.
Anybody have any ideas what's wrong and how to fix? Thanks.
it's likely just timing, the pod looper doesn't quantize or anything like that... training yourself to work with the looper is key...
Thanks for trying to help me, but nothing has worked, no matter how I try and time it. There is just basically a dead spot for a fraction of a second, just complete silence, so it's not really a quantizing issue. I appreciate the help.
you might try reflashing your pod, as mine doesn't do that. i'll even happily acknowledge that my timing on the looper isn't the greatest.... but i have no gaps.. i have an rc20xl that i use seperately that does quantize etc... and i learned some of the timing from using it.not that i'm suggesting you pick up one of those... just saying it took some practice.
reflashing my pod...how do I do that? Thanks.
launch line6 monkey, and select the pod from the list and there should be a button that says reinstall latest.
