crackling / artefacts studio gx with mountain lion

Hi, I have just upgraded my imac and macbook to mountain lion and am getting terrible crackling and sampling error type atrefacts when using my studio gx (with amplitube) under mountain lion. Everything was fine with os x lion. The sound is fine until after 5 or so seconds and then I get the issues - almost like a buffer is filling up and then can't cope.
Any ideas guys ? I have checked sample rates etc but no difference.
thanks, all help appreciated.
Mountain Lion was just released.
To the best of my knowledge Line6 has not yet officially released drivers for Mountain Lion.
With the advent of Mountain Lion and Windows 8, I would hope this something they are currently working on.
Same problem with me. Weird thing is, though, the drivers (at least for my GuitarPort) and Pod Farm 2 both mention that Mountain Lion is supported on the download page. I really hope this gets figured out soon.

I just noticed that the driver was released 7-5-12.
But Monkey and POD Farm 2 were released on 7-24-12.
Perhaps downloading the newest Monkey and PF2 will help.
I did. That's the driver that I'm talking about, and I'm guessing it's the one that the OP is talking about. I've uninstalled/reinstalled these things 3 times, and I'm still getting the crackling noise.
yup, mountain lion went onto a 2 day old clean install of lion so am up to date. Will do a full wipe and reinstall tonight again.
There are inevitably bumps in the road when migrating to a new OS.
You may want to fill out a support ticket.
Hi. Was having the same problem. Called Line 6 tech support and they suggested reinstalling the latest Pod Farm 2 which includes the latest driver. Did that but still crackling.
I'm using Digital Performer 7.24. Went into Studio settings, changed the buffer size to 512 from 256 and bingo, crackling gone.
But get this! Went back and changed buffer size back to 256, still no crackling! Go figure.
Hope this helps.
Setting the buffer only temporarilly fixes the issue for me. A few seconds later the crackling starts allover again. I've tried 3 DAWs so far and all the same issue.
I just created a support ticket as well. Hopefully they will fix this real soon.
Same problem! Im using the Toneport UX2 and Logic Pro
I have reinstalled lion 10.7 onto my imac and the issue no longer occurs. Bit sad that I had to do it but I need to be able to use the gx so no choice.
I have the same problem, using a TonePort UX2 with all DAWs. I need that Line 6 fix it for working in my projects... PLEASE!!!
Same Problem here upgraded to moutain lion and having issues with poping and crackling sounds in logic 9 seem to not happen as much in cubase but it does happen.
Same problem with 2 different macs, talked with apple said it's in line6 camp
