Mountain Lion Compatibility

Hi, I'm sorry if this has already been answered and I missed it.

But can anyone confirm if HD500 Edit works fine on Mac OS 10.8 (Mountain Lion)

    I don't have a Mac, but if I read here, it seems like you have to wait for a newer version until everything works fine.

    But I'm not sure, because the thread is about the POD HD400.

    On the other side Monkey is the same for all of them.

      Thanks. I'll wait it out and see if anyone has tried it yet then.

      I can see new downloads for L6 Monkey and drivers which say they are for Mountain Lion. Nothing for HD500 Edit yet though.

        Hi,

         

        You can download the latest Monkey version 1.59. This version will work with your POD HD500 (i have a HD400 but that makes no difference).

        With this latest version you can check if you have the latest drivers installed and install them if necessarry.

         

        However i have still problems with the sound when recording with GarageBand for example with the USB interface.

        (see link above mentiond by mazuwa)

         

        So no guarantees that it will work with your HD500. But connecting the POD HD directly to my Vox AC30C2 Tube amp works just fine.

    I have HD500 and OS X 10.8

    Pod Edit is not available in Monkey.

    Mine works fine, MacBook Pro, Mountain Lion.  No issues with Monkey, POD HD Edit, or Variax Workbench that I can see.

      Well, I ended up doing the upgrade the other day.

      As has been mentioned, HD500Edit etc all work fine.

       

      There is an issue with the USB driver causing static like noise when recording, which I have created a support ticket for.

      Fortunately I can just connect the XLR out from the HD500 in to the mic in on my Focusrite 2i2 and use that to record.

       

      Hopefully we'll see a driver update soon which will sort it out.

        I have also created a support ticket for the terrible distorted tone when playing/recording via USB with GarageBand on Mac OSX 10.8.

         

        I got answer that they are looking into the problem as reported by me and others.

         

        So lets hope that there will be an update soon.
