is the nut supposed to slide around?

I just changed strings and was stretching the stings and noticed the nut was moving around. I never noticed this before in the 1.5 years of owning my jtv69. Is there some easy way to fix this? Super glue seems a little drastic.
Superglue is the ideal answer. Don't use it near your guitar though. (if you are not used to this kind of thing) Put some on a old tile etc and dab the nut onto it so there is just a thin smear to avoid it running onto your neck and put it back on your guitar and let it set before tuning.
I've used it many times
David, I just looked at your website and see a guitar similar to some I've seen on eBay a few times -- the Metal Front Custom Buile Tele. Are you the person selling these on eBay? I want one of these but never seem to have the money when those auctions run, but I do now . . . If you have these availble, please send me a private message with pricng options. Thanks!
Thanks for the interest, but that tele was very much a one-off. I found working with metal much more work than fun and I stick to wood now. Although I have seen some very similar ones appear on Ebay since.
