"If JTV becomes "that JoBros guitar" or "the Justin Bieber axe" I could never let anyone see me playing one "

Doesn't matter. As long as your music doesn't sound the same, that is.

OK, sorry if this has already been said, but I don't have time to read through this thread.

How 'bout alternate tuning artists? Goo Goo Dolls? (that one's a joke, but have you ever seen them play? The lead singer switches guitars almost every song, and its because of the different tunings they use.) Keith Richards? Jimmy Page? Who else for that reason?

"And Keith Partridge is a GOD . I bought one of these Ovations when enough time had passed

that is was ironic/cool to play one, they are really great guitars."

First, I was going to ask exactly how much time had passed when it was...oh, never mind.

Second, that pick guard is almost as attractive as the one on the JTV-69. Almost.

Thanks for recognizing I was just making a funny. I'm old enough to have watched every single Partridge show when it first aired. But alas, my interest in playing guitar only cropped up in the past decade. Thanks for the history lesson.
