Has anyone replaced the pickups in their JTV-69?

The folks at Sweetwater tell me that the magnetics are NOT tied into the modelling system so the pickups are easily replaceable? The current magnetics are a bit bland for me.  I'd like to get better tone out of the guitar by putting in some higher-end pickups.

Any experience out there?

Thanks in advance.

I replaced mine.  Left the stock bridge HB in as I thought it sounded pretty good, but swapped the middle and neck pickups with Dimarzio rails.  Sounds fantastic now!  It wasn't difficult to replace, however if you're not handy with soldering and electronics, just take it to a guitar tech.

While I'm here, I also had a good luthier in town sand down my JTV-69 neck, as the standard neck is just too 'fat' for my liking.  I had him match the neck on one of my favorite guitars, and now it plays fantastic.  And, it was cheaper (and easier) than ordering and replacement neck.
