Quick question

I have an HD 500 and a DT 50 1x12 Combo and I love it so far. I have been able to tap in to the advise and dialog here to avoid alot of the growning pains. My question is when I move effect around pre amplifier model in the signal chain there is a loud pop thru the combo. The noise I hear / feel cant' be healthy for combo. I have tried turning off the amp model of in POD edit before moving the effect, I've tried turning the effects off nothing seems to make a difference. Do I actually have to put my combo on stand by to move effects around pre amp model?
Thanx again for all the insight.
My advice is that you do exactly that, put the combo on stand by, at least while you wait for an answer from somebody who can actually help you.
Something I would do too is to create/edit the patch, let's say "without the amp", and by that I mean using just the modelling, and when you're happy
with the overall sound of the patch, being less likely to have to move blocks, plug the HD to the amp and tweak further
I have to remember that this community is made up of musician that apply these tools in many differert ways. Im a bit old school in plug it in and play. I gotta hear to know if it works. I dont use any other vehicle for monitoring. Even if you did it would not translate to live sound. That is by application for my setup. Well the amp,,,, she is not so inexpensive so I will be carefull... just more getting use to the new way of producing my minds sound!
Thanx for you time
Best
Michael
