POD HD 500 Heavy Patches sounding clean.

Hello,
I recently noticed that all the metal patches ( pre-sets & the once i created) are sounding clean. I updated the firmare , Un-installed and re-installed the firm ware, While the POD HD 500 is connected to the PC > I open the set list in Pod hd 500 edit, They sound just fine. But as soon as i send the set list or an individual patch to the HD 500 ( SYNC) they sound clean.
Please do advice.
Thanks
Charles
do you mean while the content is being transfered? or once it's loaded in the HD?
if it's during the transfert, my tone is also affected and sounds different from the one I get when it's over for some reasons
..not clean but not as tight/full I'd say
Hey thanks for the reply,
It sounds good when its in HD pod edit software but when i load it into the POD hd 500 it sounds clean and the out put is intermittent ( The clean sound cuts off and on again). This is scary .
Bump
This might be a longshot, but......check to see if the amp switch in the amp modeling is turned off. I was having an issue when
moving patches around from one bank to another, where it it sounded good in the first location then sounded weak and clean
in the new location. i found out that the Amp was switching from on to off.
I have the same issue, and when it happened to me tonight I know for sure the amp was enabled, all the settings were saved and brought back when I dialed in the patch... But the distortion just wasn't there, I got a clean tone. The amp was the treadplate and there were no other effects, and the drive was up, the amp was enabled, etc etc. It was only when I switched off the patch and to a different bank, then came back to it that the distortion in the amp model was there.
In other words, I can no longer count on the amp model affecting the guitar's sound every time I call up the patch. Very scary indeed.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
