Hi guys, hope you can help.
I've seen sort of similar to what I need on this discussion, http://line6.com/support/thread/86707 , but am not fully grasping whether I'd be able to use the m9 to change the channels on my SwitchBlade at the same time as changing effects? Would I be able to go to specific channel "banks" and "patches" in the banks on my amp and assign, say, Harmoniser, delay and flanger? I'd be going straight in the front end of the amp.
So it'd look a little like this:
Bank1:
Patch A: Clean(amp), Compressor, Chorus
Patch B: Dirt(amp), Reverb, delay, harmoniser
Patch C: Dirt(amp), Delay, Octave
Patch D: Dirt Lead(amp) Delay, Phaser, Harmoniser
Bank2:
Patch A: Clean(amp), Compressor, Reverse Delay
Patch B: Dirt(amp), Reverb, delay, Flanger
Patch C: Dirt(amp), Delay, Whammy
Patch D: Dirt Lead(amp) Delay, Phaser, Harmoniser
Sorry if the questions have been asked and answered. I can't find them and I'm also not too bright when it comes to midi.![]()
I know I've used my X3 Live to do this before but it was a little tone sucky so I stopped using it. I thought I'd ask for the benefit of the Line6 community knowledge before I purchase the unit ![]()
Best wishes and thanks in advance for any help,
Mick
It should definitely be possible. I use an M13 to switch channels on my Tubemeister 36, which only has a MIDI in and it works flawlessly. The tone sucking thing in my experience might be due to 4-cable method being plugged the wrong way. Check out the instructions on the M9, they probably specify how to achieve it.
Good luck!
Hi danidelarosa, thanks for the reply! ![]()
The tone suck was with an X3Live. I don't have the M9 yet. This was an exploratory discussion to see if it's able to do what I want ![]()
