Pod XT live ?? into Spider III

Hi all,,this is my first post, so i hope you can help...... I have bought a line 6 spider III. my question is can i use my pod xt live to switch banks on the Amp, using it more as a controller than, the pedal effects or is it possible to use both.... setting up a bank of four on the amp and controlling them from the pedal? or do i need to buy the FBV pedal....

    Hello,

        THe POD XTL does not function as a "controller" for the Spider Series amplifier, so will you need to control the amp separately from the XTL (with an FBV controller).  Many users will set the XTL output to "instrument" and go into the Spider, then set up a "clean" patch in the spider and control their tone from the XTL.
