POD HD desktop in Cubase, different tones recording and headphone

Hi there,
I have just acquired a POD HD desktop version, with which I'm really happy. There are so many good tones coming from it, that it really blows my mind. I've only received it last tuesday, so the real tonal potential is yet to be discovered by me. Also, I'd like to add that I am completely new to the whole recording and sound modulating soft- and hardware, and therefore I'd take any advice whatsoever.
Now I've downloaded a patch from the internet for a really cool djent sound, that I've uploaded on my pod and tweaked around with for a bit. But from the gritty, tight djent sound which comes from my headphones, a very fizzy warm thick sound is being recorded on cubase. The recorded sound sounds worlds apart from the tone that I've programmed.
This is all recorded directly into cubase.
Does anyone have any idea what might be the issue and/or the reason it sounds different?
I've updated the firmware immediately and everything is up-to-date.
Thanks in advance,
Kind regards,
Ramy
You might be clipping going into your DAW. What to the waveforms look like? Can you post a screen shot of them?
If you think you are clipping (which is my guess) back off a the channel volume and or the faders in the POD's mixer and use the master to control the volume in your headphones.
Thanks for your prompt answer!
I took a picture of the waveforms. It's located in the attachment
in what position is the switch "1/4 OUT" next to the volume pedal?
Stay in the mix and in the know.
