I am going to try this later today but i thought seek some input from my friends in this community. I have a HD 500 and a DT 50 1x12 combo. My question is has anyone here done the amp update using there hd devise as the midi interface? Wondering if it is possible? I dont want to buy an interface just for an update.
you have to buy and use a midi interface to update the amp . I highly recommend that you get an m-audio uno rather than a generic midi/usb adapter.
the generic ones sometimes work... but i wouldn't risk it if your intent is to update the firmware.

That looks perfect for the application.
Thanx for the advise.

Hi,
This is what you are talking about? Sorry, I'm a total newbie ![]()

I purchased a DT25 some months ago and I wonder if it's necessary to update it now. I can't find any announcement about a new firmware for the DT series.
Also, there is no video to explain the connectivity process for the update?
Thx in advance
there isn't any new updates.... but that is the right interface you linked to.
That's what I use and it works fine. My DT50 needed the latest update when I got it about a month ago.
here's the instructions you asked for, no video that i know of.
I'm trying to update through the midi ports on my X3L and I'm not getting anywhere. Do I need an interface as advised in this thread?

yes you need an interface... you cannot upgrade through any sort of pod...
hope you got that cable!

I have been using an iPod Touch with the MIDI Mobilzer and Touch OSC software to control the DT amps for quite some time now.
