Output management update ?

Hi
I'm using a pod HD500 and I'm very desapointed with output management.
I'd like to use both jack outputs in Stack poweramp mode (no cab sim) to feed a stereo guitar poweramp with guitar cabs AND XLR outs in studio mode to feed FOH with cab sims.
Somebody knows if such a thing is planned on next firmware update ?
Do I have to mention that AXE FX II does that ...?
Thanx for any input

Only Line 6 knows. And they typically do not announce firmware releases or feature additions in advance of updates. So anything you may hear from anyone other than Line 6 is pure speculation.
Silver, since you have alot more input and connections to Line 6 then say I do..., Is it possible without causing undo burden onto yourself to ask Line 6 why in the world they might hold back information like this to their users? Since other companies have what we want Line 6 to release for us, where is the harm or issue of releasing any progress, or status of addons for Line 6 products on what has already been done by other companies? My thoughts are it cant hurt the natives here, but then if Line 6 is never asked this question (maybe even in this way?) then I guess they wont know to respond to it.... I know that they read the boards from time to time, yet stay silent more than not, and for good reasons sometimes Im sure. But if its already been done we arnt inventing the wheel again are we? Thoughts?
Spikey, here are my thoughts. ....
I (and all of the Expert Users) have one connection to Line 6 that general users don't have. There is a Line 6 employee who manages the Expert User program and we have private access to that person. He's involved in user support - not product development or marketing - so he likely doesn't really know the answer to the topic of this thread. We really don't get much non-public information from him, and when we do our NDA prevents us from divulging it here. So I'm afraid I don't have any better chance than you do of getting this question answered publicly here. And because you've asked it here, the best I can do is support you in your request. As a customer I too would like to have advance notice of future product plans and feature updates. So if Line 6 wants to respond here I would welcome it.
Having said that, we both know that their practice is to not do so. In my opinion the reason is obvious, and based on experience with how customers respond to it. On occasion, when Line 6 has taken the risk of announcing a release in advance, the announcement begins an immediate series of heated (and sometimes even nasty) discussions among users here who demand (yes - they feel entitled to demand!) more details about pending features and iron-clad promises of a release date. The word 'soon' doesn't satisfy many of us, but the rage expressed if a promised date is missed.... well, we've seen it before and it ain't pretty.
So I think Line 6 has good reason for their practice of near-silence. I can't blame them based on what I've seen take place here.
No, Silver I dont blame them for trying to avoid nasty comments, but I think they get those no matter how much or little they tell us. Dealing with the public (Me) aint easy as they well know.
They know allot better than you and I that everyone can not be pleased at once, and they are in the big league now and can and have handled that fallout with pure silence in most cases. Not that this isnt the standard way of dealing with the GP invloving nasties and updates and advances, but Im just saying that could be better served HERE by giving us a little more information from time to time. AS far as Iron clad promises go's, I wasnt looking for that at all (not that you meant me), but I was asking for little 1 minute type status reports from them on where we are, and where the HD line may be headed per month. A short "locked" thread on informational advances and direction once a month from them on our gear Im sure would be more appreciated by the majority, than the silence... Something that the main L6 page doesnt offer, an inside look per say... Just an idea that might work well for all. Thanks Silver for your thoughts in any case... Good that you have at least one connection. Beats the heck out of none any day!
I agree with the original poster, I've been using the X3 live for 4 years (through joy and pain, as any x3 owner will agree) and I've just bought an HD500. What an unpleasant surprise it was to find out that I can't anymore taylor my amp sound without destroying my FOH sound! That was a very interesting feature and I can't understand why line 6 would get rid of it, I'd much rather have that back and give the looper away in return.
Cheers!
