spider 112 50 watt work with FBV Express MKII

I just bought a FBV Express MKII. It does not light up, come on or work with my Line 6 50 watt spider 112 amp. Does anyone know are these compatible or if it requires any additional setup steps?

The compatibility chart here: http://line6.com/footcontrollers/compatibility.html does not say, however there is a document in the FAQs: http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2413 that indicates the FBVs are not compatible with Spider 1 models that have a jack labeled just as 'Pedal'.
