M9 radiophonic !

Hi

just purchased a M9 FX but it is radiophonic!! How do I solve this one?

Anyone?

    What exactly do you mean by 'radiophonic'?

     

    The dictionary defines it as:

    denoting or relating to music produced by electronic means

     

    ... which is exactly what the M9 does.

      It must be related to radio/electrical interfence of some sort. I would try relocating the M9 away from other receving/transmitting electronic devices, removing any nearby entanglements of electric cords and cables, perhaps using different electrical circuits, maybe try a power bar with signal cleaning, .......

    I strongly doubt it is the M9 to be honest. Guitar pickups pickup this kind of RF signal all the time; the M9 is probably just emphasizing it, depending on what effects you're using.

      I am sorry to say but guitar PU's have nothing to do with it. Connected or not, I still have the satellite radio in my M9. Arab, Russian, Polski ...I do not know! I use Cordial instrument cables as guitar cords. Never had this before. Is there a Line6 tech somewhere to tell me how to get rid of this nuissance?

        You should open a support ticket to get Line 6 tech support. (See Support tab at top of this page).

          That is what I did but guess what... a guy from L6 told me to have some kind of a ground-lift adapter ..... The Line6 adapter for the M9 is a 2-pin connector ...

          Even messing around with the earthing does NOT solve the problem....neither changing the interconnects....and in my opinion they do not know the solution at Line 6 either ...they only replied to me ....we heard of this problem....

    Perhaps you can try something call Ferrite Bead (or something similar). I work with a guy that suggested it for computer speakers as it would reduce interference. Apparently it's pretty cheap at Radio Shack.
