Hi Zap
Actually, I've tried tried this and it doesn't work for me (HD500 - L6 Link - DT25 all with latest firmware). The Reverb setting on the DT stays the same regardless of which HD patch I use / set / save. Am I doing something wrong?
Regards

for my test, i just took one of the default tones with reverb on it, removed the reverb, saved, switch patches back and forth, then it was as simple as turning the reverb knob on the amp... after that i simply adjusted to taste (star appeared) saved... switched back and forth again and the tone saved the settings for the reverb on the amp. as i said I don't know where it got the reverb selection from, so it might have to be selected for the amp topo via midi, or maybe it just used the verb that was formerly part of the tone?
i didn't pay enough attention... but you might add reverb first, and then save, and then remove, and save??
just ideas...

For Touchdaw you can use any USB MIDI Class Adaptor. That's the whole idea of having a standardization. Works fine for my MIDIMATE II.

But don't you depend on a PC? Are there Android drivers for a midi devices?
I don't know any MIDI interface for android phones or tablets.- Report Abuse

Had some fun tonight learning how to create MIDI devices in Cubase 6.5. Here's the end result:
It doesn't include every possible parameter, and it runs from within Cubase, but it works like a charm. Like other posters have noted above, it won't read current settings from the DT amp, but it will send them.

As far as I can see, it should be possible to program a midi command to a switch that will configure the reverb loaden into teh DT.
So adding a midi cable between the POD HD and the DT amp should give us the functionality being talked about here.
Or am I missing something?

shouldn't even have to cable it up... the L6LINK should transmit that midi info.

>I don't know any MIDI interface for android phones or tablets.Your Android device just needs USB Host capabilities. There is no need for special drivers, because every MIDI class device behaves in the same way. It's just like for USB mass storage class devices. You don't need special drivers for every USB Stick/Thumbdrive, because the same generic driver works for all of them.

I downloaded TouchOSC and LINE6 template. Sorry to say, but TouchOSC has the ugliest GUI I've ever seen!
I've been working with MIDI Designer for many months now and I built MIDI controls for DT-50, POD X3 LIVE and HD500. http://mididesigner.com/qa/110/call-for-layouts-line6-pod-controller
MIDI Designer PRO is a little bit more expensive than TouchOSC, but you have full contol over your gears and, you must admit, interface looks better too.
Last but not least, design in MIDI Designer is performed directly on iPad, no need to install design tool on PC or MAC.
Feel free to share with DT-50 users.

You may need this second file. I'm not sure, since I haven't exported one of these before:

Just installed the V 2.0 firmware and was thinking about using a midi pedal that can send a bunch of CC messages to allow me to simoultainiously change models, tone, gain etc. Is this a good idea, or am I missing something?

You might be able to, but you need to make sure the midi pedal can send the correct signals to do what you want.
