DT Editor

Hello all,

I really like what the last DT firmware update brought to us but I've found it rather difficult to actually access all these new functions. When I look around on this forum then it seems like I'm not alone with this problem. MIDIOX is a great MIDI debug and testing tool but I don't think it is really suited as a device editor. I've found it especially cumbersome and cryptic to use with my DT25. So I created a small editor for my amp.

The editor is still in alpha stage and some functions are still missing but it runs quite stable here on both Windows and Linux. It would be great if someone could test the latest release and give some feedback.

Kudos Rollo69. What a great piece of work. If only I had a PC ??? Hopefully someone will find a way to compile it for OSX?

It is a complete enigma to me why Line 6 released this update for the DT amps without an editor?

Exactly my thoughts.

I'm not going to buy a Mac but it may be possible to install OSX into a virtual machine and then compile a Mac version there. I'll try this when the Windows version has reached a stable state.

looks very good.

I'm going to watch this thread, so when you release new versions please let us know by posting here so we can get hold of it.

I will try this out when I have a spare couple of hours and let you know any issues.

Hmm, I have no idea what's going on. I think we have a Norton machine somewhere at the office. Maybe I can get a chance to test the setup there.

In the meantime I've uploaded a plain zip file with the exe. Just unpack this one and run the contained executable.

Okay, that did the trick. Now just to mess around with it. By the way, a desktop shortcut doesn't seem to work, but it loads from documents.

Just got done messin' around. I don't know much at all, but I know what works for me and this works a lot better than MidiOx. Well, MidiOx works, but this is so much quicker & easier!!! Can't wait 'til ya get it all workin'! Thanks Man! Really appreciate what you've done!

Absolutely brilliant Rolf!! Works great with DT25 in Windows 8 64 bit with Midi-Sport UNO

I love that it polls the amp and shows current settings. That's the biggest downfall of the iPAD/TouchOSC app.
