Hi, am new to this game, which is better for recording levels?...to have volume up full on guitar pot and reduce the input signal on the software .....or leave software alone and reduce input via the volume on guitar for a clean and clear sound..ie to prevent clipping yet still record the high tones/mid tones bass tones etc.? Also the same question when using a Mic?
