My beloved m13 decided to die.

I used my M13 about a week ago on a gig and decided to use it again today to play around with the harmonizer. I turned it on and and I get nothing on the displays, like if the contrast is set back to 0. I performed a factory reset but still nothing.
Here's a picture of the problem:

I just verified the output voltage on the power supply and it is 11.6vac. Maybe under load(connected to the m13) it drops to 9v? If anyone can check the output voltage on your power supply please let me know your reading.
Thanks
What kind of meter are you using to read the voltage? A 9V AC RMS voltage would have a peak of 12.7V, so a reading of 11.6V might not be out of the question depending on your multimeter. It seems like the power supply producing an over-voltage would be somewhat unlikely. It's an actual transformer, not a switching power supply, so if the secondary side is high, it would mean that that the primary side would be high. Slight over-voltages aren't uncommon in the winter, but one close to 30% would be unheard of.
If I had to bet, I would suspect something like a loose ribbon connector in the M13 itself.
I''m using one of those cheap craftsman multimeter.
Yeah I though that since it's AC output the internals should be fairly simple and there's no rectifier inside the power supply.
Primary side voltage was 120v when I was doing the tests.
I opened the M13 yesterday and moved a bit the ribbon cables to see if there was any change on the displays but no luck. I didn't disconected the ribbon cables because they have a spot of glue on the sides and I haven't checked if I have warranty but my guess is I don't since I got it on the street and owner have no proof of purchase.
It may be a dumb question, but are you sure it's not the contrast setting? Have you tried adjusting it?
Well, actually no since I can't read the displays. However, I did remember how to do a factory reset and did it but even after that there was no change on contrast.
Maybe if you can post the instructions on how to get to the contrast setting I can try it.
Well, I just tried to adjust the contrast, it's just holding setup and moving the 2nd knob on 4th fx, and the contrast does change but still no letters on the display.

There's one other thing. You said you've done a factory reset, but have you tried re-installing the firmware? I would try that, and if that doesn't work, it seems like taking it to a service center is the only thing left to do.
I'll be trying that during the weekend. Fingers crossed! :(
Reflashing didn't solved the problem. Service center it is then. ![]()
Where can I mail it? There's a service center a few hours from me but I honestly don't trust them.
then you can mail it to ANY service center you wish: http://line6.com/service_centers/
Thanks!
