Podfarm problems (GX)

Hey friends, I'm very new to this site!

 

But today I purchased a Line 6 Studio GX so I can do some recording and playing guitar through my laptop, so I have everything set up although I went to play and it is severely delayed, as in, offtime, not repeated. I'm really wanting to fix this, it still makes the sound, it's just not playing through the speaker as I play the instrument.
Could I please have some help with this?

    You need to monitor directly from the GX (Tone Direct) to avoid objectionable latency.  Most good recording software will allow for latency and your tracks will be in synch, but it is very difficult to monitor via the computer while recording because of the latency factor.
