Greetings,
have a new POD HD desktop, latest drivers..etc..usb to a mac running mountain lion. Using Logic Pro 9 I record and sometimes 20-30 seconds into the record (random) I get a bunch of noise/crackling. It is recorded and ruins the track. Any guidence would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

btw..here is a link that gives an example of the crackle..

I get it every time...I've tried reinstalling the USB driver and reflashed the firmware..etc..
I'm running Mountain Lion on a IMAC 16 gig memory I7. All the latest line6 updates applied. going from USB to Logic Pro 9. btw If I create an audio track and use the built-in internal mic the track is clean so its definately from the POD inbound.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is a "NO GO" if it does not get fixed...
Thanks

Hi!
I'm having the same problem as I posted here:

Your recording can be an example of what is happening to mine.
I think it has something to do with the sample rate, but I couldn't find out what's wrong.
I've read in other posts that Pod Hd can be a very good interface. I hope it's true!!
Could someone help us, please?
Thanks!
maybe it's a ground loop problem..
and another advice ..
Doesn't sound like ground loop noise to me. That tends to be constant and this problem only kicks in after a period. It sounds digital like a buffer has overflowed and bits are being dropped or something. Something around the sample rate sounds about right to me if the drivers are all bang up to date. Also need to make sure that there is not too much other stuff running on the mac at the same time.
Not sure if there are latency or buffer optimisations in Logic that you could fiddle with.
Actually, Roderich had already played with much of this so I am out. Try a direct support call to Line 6.
