Perhaps you or your electronics repair person could pop it out then move the slide on terminals to the other half of the switch and it will work for ya. Of couse it could be buggered inside so that may or may not work. Some switches you can take apart and repair but as I said it's a common enough switch that you should not have any trouble finding a replacment for it. If you get an electronics guy who needs the service info, shoot me a PM.

Yes that is true and I know for a fact you can actually move the terminals, because I did, about a year ago when I had the same problems:).

After that everything worked fine...

Until now.

For anyone else who is experiencing these same problems for the first time, I can tell you that accessing the switch and moving the terminals is relatively easy and only takes about 5 minutes.

But as always with electronics you need to be very careful and first ask a professional for help, because circuits with capacitors will maintain their charge for a time even after you disconnect the power cable.
