Compressors??

My move from the GT-10 to HD500 is going nicely thanks to awesome help from all you guys here, but there is one problem I have with a clean patch. No matter whatI do it is way too quiet and that is on max volume!
I found the GT-10 compression easy to use but can't seem to find the HD500 versions. Are they bumped in with the noisegates or something? I scroll but keep missing them.
The GT gave a choice of many. BTW what the hell is wrong with the flangers? Can't even get near to Alex Lifeson Electric Mistress sound from Exit Stage Left !! Ha ha at the moment this is not a priority but the compression is.
Very grateful for any help, and got to say that the amp models on this thing blow the GT out of the water!!
Many thanks, great Xmas to you all

you can find them under the DYNAMICS FX category ("Dyn" in HD500 Edit program) along with the noise gates
many thanks mate but I was hoping to find and edit on the pedal itself rather than HD500 edit into PC.
thanks again fella
It is the first category that you come to when you select an empty effect block and turn the param 1 knob (of the four beneath the LCD Display). The compressors are bundled in with the Noise Gates so look for 'gate' in the title.. Select that category then turn the Param 2 knob until the goodles start to appear.
If you are looking for louder though, the compressor may not achieve all of what you want. Try a Studio EQ at the end of the FX Chain with a boost on gain only.
Other tips for louder are:
- MIxer Pan to Centre
- Use both Mixer channels
hurghanico did tell you where they are: The first category of effects on the unit is dynamics and it includes the Noise Gates and Compressors. Specifically:
Noise Gate
Hard Gate
Tube Comp
Red Comp
Blue Comp
Blue Comp
Vetta Comp
Vetta Juice
Boost Comp
I think you need to look at the Advanced Guide which can be found here: http://uk.line6.com/data/6/0a06434dfb244f7b7f489af64/application/pdf/POD%20HD500%20Advanced%20Guide%20v2.0%20-%20English%20(%20Rev%20A%20).pdf
There is also a usefull Model Gallery which describes what each of the models is based on: http://uk.line6.com/data/6/0a06434d408c50904b6a219d8/application/pdf/POD%20HD%20Model%20Gallery%20-%20English%20(%20Rev%20D%20).pdf although confusingly the Compressors are listed with the Distortions in that.
This page lists all of the HD500 manuals which are maintained online because they can change as new firmware is released: http://uk.line6.com/support/manuals/podhd500
There are quite a few places where you can boost volume - on an Amp, on some of the Effects (Compressors and EQ generally include this), and on the Mixer. You just have to be a bit carefull if you do a large boost with the Mixer and have effects after it because you can "overload" effects after it and add distortion. Generally you should move your effects to before the Mixer to avoid this.
God bless you guys..I'm rushing downstairs now to get on it pronto..many many thanks, strange with blue, red etc. I was used to the boss compressor in GT-10!
Cool just read that the blue one is the boss comp!!
