Alternative for POD Farm

Hi, is there an alternative, preferably free, fod POD Farm? I am very disappointed by its working, it keeps crashing, many effects and amps don't change the sound at all and I am fed up by it.

I don't need the alternative to have as many features as Farm does, but I would like it to be stable and fluent.. Thanks

Are you looking for just a plug-in or and interface?

btw, what OS are you using and which POD Farm do you have?

Do you have a Line6 interface or just the software?

  I'm running POD Farm 2.50 on Win7. I forgot to mention I own a UX2 interface, sorry about that. As for the first question, I am looking for a standalone program, capable of modifying the signal in real time, as I mostly use the UX2 as a multi-feature effect with a footswitch. I might get to recording something later

    sounds like gearbox might work for you....
    it's 100% the same sounds... just a different interface, and its also only standalone.

you might try gearbox... depending on how you are using it and with which device...

your problems are also not typical, so you might also try getting some user support here in the forums, or calling line6 for direct support:

also of note, is that many of the amps and effects are only included with model packs or the platinum version
