WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MK1 AND MK2?

slightly different amp models, and more of them on the MKII, more FX and features on the MKII.
If you have a choice, I'd get the MKII.
can anybody tell if MK1 is upgradable to MK2? thanx
No... that's probably the biggest difference of them all... the MK1 can never be updated.
i'm asking your opinion: is a second-hand Spider Valve MK2 100W head shipped at home for 670 U$D a good deal?
a little high in my opinion.... i'd be more comfortable around the 550-600$ range...
but it's not too far off the mark, once you factor in shipping and tax if buying local...
the real answer though is in the form of a question... is it worth it to you?
consider that i live in Italy and i can find it new at about 1100 $... it worth for me bacause i already own a Pod XT and an FBV long-board so i'm confident with the interfaces. i even heard good things about H&K Zentera...
if that's the local new price for one, then it's probably a really good deal... and your longboard should work with it, so that's a great savings as well...
probably wouldn't use the XT any more though... but perhaps you can sell it and recoupe some money... or keep it for recording or other needs.
does the "old" FBV long-board allow the MK2 FX Infusion 2.0 as well? i read something only about the new FBV Shortboard™ MkII...
the old (we call it MK1) FBV longboard (there is actually no MK2 longboard only shortboard and express) will work with the infusion update...
the problem however is that you cant use that board to do the upgrade....
so if you can borrow an MK2, or use one at a misic store... to do the update...
or if the amp already has the update... you're good.
if i don't have Shortboard MK2 i can't upgrade to FX Infusion 2.0, can I?
you can also use the mk2 express... you just need to borrow one to make the upgrade, and then your longboard would work fine.
neither with an usb-to-midi adapter like this http://www.ear2track.com/Prod_pix/MIDI/M-Audio/MIDIsport_Uno-closeup_400.jpg ?
unfortunately you really will need one of the mk2 pedals to do the update.... midi wont work
WTF!
just a moment...

... are we sure?
ok, I guess i overlooked the "valve" part of the amp... it looks like you can update with midi on the valve models!
oops! false alarm... sorry dude.
found another one for 535 buck$, in the end... bought (obviously!).
congrats! sounds like a great price for you.
