Im sure this is possible, but maybe not.....
Is there a way i can hook my iPod into the aux connection and not have it run through effects and amp models??
Id like to play along with music on my ipod in headphones. Id like to have the music play through the left side and my guitar in the right.
Which model of Pod HD do you have?
HD500
Is there a reason why you don't want to use the cd/mp3 input jack on the rear of the HD500? This will give you a stereo playback from your iPhone, then you can jam along with a stereo tone in your HD500 if you wish.
If it's important to have two mono channels panned L/R respectively (one iPhone and one HD500), here's how to do it. Again, I would use the cd/mp3 input with a mono plug rather than the Aux input. In both cases you need an adapter, but this way makes your HD500 preset setup much simpler:
- use a stereo-mono adapter, taking the stereo output of your iPhone and converting it to a mono 1/8" plug for the HD500 cd/mp3 input. This will be received by the HD500 as one part of a stereo pair, and will be heard through only one channel.
- in the HD500 preset, go to the mixer and pan both channels fully to the other side than the cd/mp3 channel.
wow. im just an idiot. i never saw that. ... sorry for wasting your time!!
thats for the idea with the mono adapter.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
