No Sound Besides Pod Farm 2.5

When I have Pod Farm open, I can no longer hear any other sounds my computer may make. Any suggestions?
Also, I was wondering how I can open Pod Farm in Mixcraft 5. I have read this http://line6.com/support/thread/63233 and Pod Farm does not show up in the Default Recording Device Input dropdown menu.
Thank you
Pod Farm uses a connected hardware device (not your computer) as its soundcard. You need to connect your speakers/headphones to this device to hear the sound it is producing. Other sounds produced by your computer can be heard through this device by setting it to be your computer's audio device in the Sounds control panel.
Pod Farm is not a recording device - that's the hardware referred to above. Pod Farm will show up in Mixcraft's list of plugins.
Unfortunately I lost the hardware device. I am currently using an Alesis io2 to connect my guitar to my computer. I can still hear sound from the Pod Farm coming from my computer, however no other program sounds can be heard when Pod Farm is up.
Also Pod Farm does not show up in Mixcraft's list of plugins
Pod farm should be in the list of fx in Mixcraft 5 see the attached image.
If you still cant see pod farm then you have to make sure that the folder that the Pod Farm VST is installed in is in the Mixcraft plug-in folders path. By default this should be C:\program piles(x86)\VST
If your copy of Pod Farm has been installed elsewhere then add the path in the Mixcraft 5 preferences.
This may all be a moot point however because as Silverhead said you really do need a Line 6 qualifying device present in order to be able to use Pod Farm (unless you have a stand alone licence for Pod Farm 2.5).
Give me a shout if you need any more help.
Good Luck!
John
(BTW - think about upgrading to Mixcraft 6 - well worth it, if you have 5 it is $20 to upgrade, also think about the Pro version as well!)
