Meaning of LVM in HD500 v1.4 update tone names?

What does the trailing LVM mean that is trailing the tone names 13A-16D in the new 'L6Link<->DT' set list that came with the v1.4 FW update?
I could not find a reference and comparing some of them with tone names that do not have the LVM in the same set just shows that they don't seem to be for DTxx use (they use full AMP configuration), but have slightly different pre-amp tone settings and different JTV guitar selections.
it would make sense if the first to letters mean LOW VOLUME ???? since thier in the DT setlist and have the full amp configuration...you can't really get that tube power amp working for you in a low volume situation so it would make sense to use full amp sims in that scenario
Thanks, that might be it. Will try later ![]()
Hey Martin Dorr,
The LVM stands for 'Low Volume Mode'. These presets were intended to be used when connecting to a DT series amp in Low Volume Mode via L6 link. They use the full amp model instead of the preamp models that full volume mode uses. They have been adjusted differenty to accomdate the Low Volume Mode operation mode yet sound similiar to the full volume mode version of the preset.
Does this also make the tones sound more correct coming through the front of a normal tube amp as well? It seems like it would.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
