I'm not too sure about this effects ability. It sounds like a phaser to me. Also, I was looking at the manual, and the dynamics and pitch knobs on the lcd were in the opposite spots of where they are on my Vetta. It actually sounds bigger when I just turn the whole thing off. I've tried plenty of settings with it and it just gives me a phaser effect. Nothin wrong with the Van Halen vibe but I'd rather just get what the effect is supposed to do. Any suggestions?
I think it is supposed to be a chorus like effect aka Les Paul and Mary Ford type of thing but my ears don't hear that much from it either. However, to be fair they do say you should be in full stereo with seperated speaker to get the most from it but I'm not too sure what that could or should add. Maybe a tad more delay and or pitch change between channels would do it, then again you wouldn't want to over do what they call the drunk factor either.
I'm using the 4x12 Line 6 cab with the custom celestions in stereo. I'm not too sure if that counts as FULL stereo...
I think what they are looking for is physically separated speakers as in a cabs on separate sides of the stage that are in turn driven by the left and right channels.
I'll give it a shot. I was saving up for a second 4x12 anyways so I'll go grab one and see what happens. Thanks.
Let us know. Just don't blow your amp with too many speakers or too little impedance.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
