Sooooooo can i not purchase any add ons? i bought the pod farm hardware independent Please help

i cant figure out how to get add ons for my pod farm hardware independent standard version, can i not without a line 6 interface cause that would make no sense, please someone needs to help me

Add-ons are only available for compatible Line6 Hardware.
(xt, KB37, GX, and UX series)
You probably know already, but you can upgrade to Platinum which is equivalent to having all the add-ons.
The exception is if you own one of the compatible devices you can purchase add-ons for it and also use it with the Hardware independent version.

According to the POD Farm 2.5 FAQ you can add model packs as long as you didn't purchase the iLok version. Just purchase whichever model pack you are interested in from the Line 6 store and it will be added to your account. It should show up in the License Manager.

just tell it you have a line6 device and buy the addon anyway... it will be linked to your account and you can use it...
not sure why they never fixed it... model packs work with no line6 device... but the store wont let you buy them that way...
IT WILL WORK... you do have 30 days to request a refund, so there's no risk for you to try for yourself.

HINT: check the add on price that you are interested in different devices... for some reason the addons are cheaper for certain devices.

  are you 100% sure about that? cause i am open to return my purchase and get the 299 version, unless you are 100% sure, so i could just say i have a device and it may work? thanks btw

        no idea why its like that... but i knew it worked
        not sure what tri was talking about... unless someone tried to get the packs with the ilok version... that wouldnt work.

        Zap, I found a thread where somebody purchased the PF 2.5 Standalone and tried to purchase a model-pack, and a Line6 rep merely stated you can only purchase model packs for hardware, but it wasn't the one I was looking for. The one I remember (may be a false memory??) had collaboration with a few Experts. But my guess is the whole License Manager scheme was fairly new at the time.

        i've seen where people bought ONLY a model pack (no pod farm license) and expected it to work...
        you have to have a pod farm license to use model packs... but once they are tied to your account, its just a matter of authorizing your computer to use them.
