UX2 Distortion

I upgraded from standard computer speakers to KRK Rokit 5 speakers and now get overdriven distortion through my headphones as long as the speakers are plugged into the 1/4" analog outputs. Anyone else have this problem?
Even if you back off the Phones volume?
The effect is lessened, but stull very apparent.
I've had this problem with my UX2 since I first had it 3+ year ago. The only solution, I've found, is to turn down the volume on the mixer in windows to 45%.
I will have to try this tonite.
My phones are usually plugged into a mixer.
Just for the record, you are plugging your headphones into the UX2?
If you plug in two cables in the analog outs without connecting them to anything do you still get distortion?
If so, I'm assuming the distortion go away when you unplug them?
What type of headphones do you have?
After experimenting, I found that this happens when any cable is plugged into out 1 or 2 and into a monitor whether it is switched on or off. If I keep the cables in the UX and unplug them from the monitors, the problem stops. The phones are maxells and are working fine. If I max out the headphone volume on the UX, I get very loud white noise that will continue until the volume is dropped, or if the out cables are unplugged. If the volume is at 50 - 75%, I get enough contant signal (after 1 pick or strum) to keep a constant delay echo running on my FX software (Guitar Rig). at lower volumes, there is a overdriven distortion. Adjusting the output volume has no effect on the headphone distortion.
Does it happen if you are not running GR and just POD Farm?
