Ordered new JTV-59

Just ordered a new JTV-59 from Guitar Center and I haven't had time to check other posts and I was wondering if there are any issues that I should look for before I leave the store. I know that have been some issues with the necks. Anyone's input would be appreciated!!!

    i've never seen any issues with the 59 necks, other than people not preferring it...

    the thing to check out on a 59 is the 3 way switch.

      Ok from what I've read the switch has 2 functions. In analog it's pickup selection but in digital it's instrument selection. Is the faulty switches effecting both options. Reason why I ask is I can plug it into an amp at Guitar Center and check the analog option but without a charged battery I won't know about the digital side. Am I correct in assuming this? Thanks Zap

    Didn't like the neck pickup it's ok, nothing like a les. So i replaced to a Gibson BurstBucker Pro

    You can connect the guitar to an HD500 on display  at many Guitar Centers and test the modeling and selector switch.

    use the cat5 cable included in your gig bag to conect for power.

    Bring head phones for testing the sound of the alternate tuning.
