POD HD500 + Mac OS X 10.8.2 (Mountain Lion) = recording problem

Hi,
I have a problem with my POD HD500 and my new iMac with Mac OS X 10.8.2. I use Reaper as a DAW and when I record some track there is some kind of noise. I asked this question on sevenstring.org/forum/ and one of the users told me that Line6 knows about this problem for nearly 6 months and it can't fix it.
My question is: is there any temporary solution to this problem (I won't buy addtional interface, tho) and do you know when Line 6 is going to fix it ?
To have a better understanding of this problem - here is the sample:
Increasing the buffer (on the Mac) seems to have fixed the issue for me. If I remember correctly, it can be accessed through the Line 6 drivers UI.
Unfortunately it doesn't fix this problem at all. The newest driver simply does not work with OSX 10.8.2. Do you know when Line 6 will ship a fixed drivers ?

It does work, but generates noise, correct? Otherwise you won't be able to hear or record the noise. ![]()
I'm running the HD300, with the latest firmware and the latest audio interface drivers, through OSX 1.8.2, and increasing the buffer fixed the noise issue for me. Unless the HD500 uses a different, obsolete set of drivers, which is unlikely.
I'll shut up now and let an actual HD500 user shed light on this ![]()
I'm in the same boat and even have a support ticket issued. What's weird is that I can un-plug my USB cable on the computer, plug it into the same port on the computer, and it will work again. I've also noticed that sometimes the noise doesn't come in until a minute into a recorded track.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
