    I thought I'd add that it is very present in the Class A-30 model with all dials at 12 O'clock

    Two questions:

    - please clarify your first post. You say that hiss both is and is not present in modeled mode. Which mode is giving you the problem - modeled or mag pickups?

    - how are you connecting to the HD500 - via VDI or 1/4"? Does it change anything if you switch?

    Which firmware do you use on your JTV? I had a problem similar to the one you describe and had firmware 1.71. on it. Changing to 1.81 helped.

    But now I have to use the nwe acoustic models, which are not as good as the old ones...
