Can't update USB firmware on HD300

I just got an HD300. The latest version of Line 6 Monkey failed to update the USB firmware, giving me a message "Failed to open downloaded file. Reason (Code 80002049) Sockets: Connectino Reset." I'm running Vista 32 bit and disabled my virus program. I have no problem opening other downloaded files and communicating with other USB devices.
I searched this forum and this was a frequent error in the past. I tried to install Monkey 1.42 (which doesn't have this problem) but the Monkey updated itself to 1.62.
The USB firmware is not listed in the download section.
What should I do?
if the connection error is the only thing you are having issues with, i'd download the firmware manually and select update from file in monkey.

Strange that you can't find the firmware file..
I just tried to give a look in the download section of this site, and I found the firmware for your HD300..
you can download the file from there and then install the firmware in offline mode with the monkey program..
the firmware file is called: flash memory
i think monkey shows a seperate usb firmware (that hasnt had an update) and a seperate flash memory...
if monkey is showing a problem with the usb firmware, then i'd suspect he might need to reinstall the drivers.

you're right..
and also I didn't noticed the OP was speaking of the usb firmware and not of the HD300 firmware.. ![]()
I had an oversight ![]()
After disabling every Windows program except crucial ones, I was able to update the USB firmware to 1.01.
The flash update has failed, though! I'm giving it another try. The current version is 1.03. Will see what happens.
Boy, did it work! Line 6 Monkey appears to be very sensititve to what's happening in the PC.

may be that you have a software in particular on your pc that is in conflict with the monkey..
i didn't notice til you said something either... and apparently i was wrong about there being an update! ![]()
