Global EQ on HD500

Started a thread recently about HD500 being to bassy and boomy. Many googles later I found a snippet of article to adjust the Global EQ. I have also google this but search results always bring up same subjuct." Factory Reset". The person didn't mention how to adjust the global EQ settings.

Now I have seen a thread saying Global EQ for all patches is not possible. Can someone please put me clear on this. If possible how can it be done. I have found global settings on HD500 but where is section to adjust and lower bass signals.

This pedal is killing me, I have had it for about 4 months and recently went back to my GT-10 in frustration, even though the amps ( without the bass) are vastly superior.

Many thanks for any help  but I will keep googling anyway..

There is no global EQ on the HD500. EQ is done on a per-patch basis. To remove 'boominess', one effective method is to use LoCut parameter associated with the CAB selection. To access this, see page 4 of 5 in the Amp Edit pages on the HD500.

I use a GLX 10-band EQ stompbox in the effectloop at the end of the chain in all my patches.

This way I effectively have a global EQ. It works really well for me.

I can also use it to attenuate the volume when at home. That way I don't need the LV mode on my DT-25.

I know it's not ideal because you should ultimately attenuate between the power amp and the speaker but it sounds pretty good anyway.
