No distortion through Pod Farm 2.5

The day after I had recorded some guitar on Ableton Live I reopened Pod Farm 2.5 and noticed the sound was very low. I use a Line 6 UX2 interface. So I turned up the sound via the UX2 and noticed there was no distortion coming from Pod Farm.

I have used Line 6 Monkey to make sure everything was up to date and even reinstalled Pod Farm. Still there in no distortion. Since I have updated all windows updates and checked the forums for previous issues and followed the troubleshooting that was provided to others with the same issue.

Any suggestions on why I am getting no distortion and very low sound from my version of Pod Farm.

Thanks.

    Hi,

       A few ideas,

         1. If the low vol.and no dist. is when playing live through standalone, then the DI level might be turned up which gives the bare guitar signal (although I think it always also plays the processed sound too, so maybe not that.

         2. It could be a noise gate (either the global one or an individual one in the picture box with the amps etc.) that is set high and so it only allows louder bits through or makes it low volume and therefore in turn lowers the distortion or pretty much remove the distortion.

         3. some kind of prob with software

When you recorded your guitar, did you hear distortion then or did you just play it without any pod farm things being on?

    David

Sounds like you were recording into Live using the POD Farm standalone software which means that Ableton recorded just the dry, unprocessed guitar signal.  In order to process the tracks within Live you need POD Farm plugin.  Or if you want to record the tracks straight without messing with POD Farm after recording then you need to set Live to be recording the processed outputs from POD Farm standalone...check the support database for POD farm manuals...I don't remember off the top of my head which outputs are dry and which are processed.

Im having the same issue, every was working ok, but some presets or amplifiers are not having distortion anymore, it happen from one day to the other. Every level an connections are ok, it used to work fine... dunno what happened...

Any solutions from Line 6? Calling them is a pain in the ***... 30 mins to be transfered to someone.

You might try opening a support ticket rather than waiting for phone support. It may take a day or two for them to respond, but at least you won't be on hold.

To open a ticket, see the Contact Techincal Support item under the Support menu at the top of this page.
