When I get my new JTV 69, the model selctor does not work propper, I have to push it 5-6 times untill he starts the elecktronic. I tried for some days but it was allways a problem to start or to end the the guitar banks. I connectetd a cabel correctly and fill up the battery, but that does not help, so I changed the Guitar, at my shop "thomann" it was no problem and 4 days later I got a new one. This Guitar works, the knop activated and endet the model banks with one push, for nearly two weaks, but suddenly the knop doesn´t work any more. I pushed him but he doesn´t end the model bank, led still burns ´though I pushed at least 10 times. So I unplugged the guitar to end it. But after this and plugging again the knop doesn´t work any more. I called the shop to ask if this is a well known problem of the guitar but they said they never heard about this. Now I can send the Guitar back, get a new one and hope that this problem didn´t start again with the new one.
Did anybody also had that troubles? Or do anybody know what to do with such a swith? I played electric guitar for more than 20 jears so I know how to plug it right.
Thanks for help
Gently pull the model selector UP.
The problem is caused by the model selector being pushed DOWN too far.
A fix is putting a small object inside as a spacer so that it only goes down to the correct position.
Another fix is putting a piece of paper on the post to make it more snug,
My JTV 59 had the problem when I got it. It would not work when I pushed.
Line6/retailers must get many returns because of this.
Thank you for the answer, I expected that I were not the only one with that problem, but the people at
"Thomans" said the´ve never heard about that Problem before. You help me to believe that I´m not too dump to push a Botton.
