G30 Battery Door Popped Open and Broke the Clip

During my gig, my G30's battery door, which has a hard time staying closed once the batteries are in it, popped open (batteries flying out) and broke the little clip that keeps it closed. Now there is no way for the battery door to stay closed unless I tape it shut, and that didnt work for the whole gig. Is there anything I can do about this?

Try using one or 2 zip ties. It will give you enough force to keep it tight and although it doesn't fix the original problem, it will work.
Thats a good idea.

HI, have had the same problem, could be a great piece of kit but is as useful as a chocolate teapot with the battery door not closing properly. Line 6 have admitted there's a problem and have offered to send me a replacement....woohoo! Will it be a re-designed unit? Will keep you posted! Anyway, thanks to line 6 for holding their hands up and admitting the problem! - Adey x bass player www.newgenerationcrashandburn.co.uk
This is my first post. The reason I sign up to this community is nothing but to answer your question (and other with the same problem).
Whatever you do, taped, bag, glue etc. what would I say is: STOP FINDING A WAY TO MAKE THIS FAILURE BE TOLERATED.
How can be a big company like Line 6 make a major mistake on design product
Right now, I really need wireless guitar set and I've got enough money in my wallet and ready to spend on local music store to grab the G30. But after reading many customer complain in the net, I'm gonna look another brand.
I use a couple of hair ties to keep the door shut which also keeps the unit attached to the guitar strap but I agree, it shouldn't have to be that way. It works but is downright awkward switching the thing on and off.
