Pod HD Pro running slow

I just picked up a HD Pro. I had a HD500, HD400 and an X3 Live prior to that.
What I am finding is that the unit seems to be running very slow...in that when chaging between presets for example, the screen changes from the existing screen to once full of unreadable characters and then to the next preset. The delay may be only 1-1.5 seconds but I don't remeber this kind of behaviour with my HD500....things were very smooth and quick. Could this be a firmware issue as it is running the most recent fw update.
EDIT: Also when adding an effect block for example and turning the 1st knob to select what type of effect it is (category) even if I turn slowly it is hard to read the category names as they jumble and then they also will skip past a category...again I don't remeber this happening with my HD500.
Also, the LCD display has an unususal white (light) spot in the top middle of the screen which I am hoping will not progress...would this be covered under warranty?
Thanks,
Derek
Are you connected to HD Edit when this happens, or does it happen all the time? That's the one thing I could think of. It doesn't sound like normal behavior, though. It may be worth trying to re-flash the unit, but other than that it sounds like it may need to serviced. Regarding the LCD, I certainly would expect that to be covered under warranty.
Thanks Phil!
The slow behaviour is happening when I am not connected to USB...just using the unit itself. I will try re-flashing it ![]()
Thanks,
Derek
Just tried re-flashing it and not difference....still running really slow. I just went and bought another brand new HD Pro (returnable) to compare and it is toally different, much faster the way I remember my HD500.
I suppose that mean my first one needs to be serviced.
Thanks,
D
If a reflash doesn't fix it then I think you're right - needs repair.
