Variax telecaster middle position keeps defaulting to acoustic body

My variax 500 middle telecaster position is not correct . When plugged into the workbench it shows up with an acoustic body

Even if a change it back i reverts back when un plugged

strange

I thought that the guitar patches were fixed and only the custom positions could be edited (exept for string volume_etc

the middle position is a thinline model (semi-hollowbody) perhaps that's correct?

The guitar patches are not fixed. Any of the factory models can be replaced with a different model created in Workbench.

Send the Telecaster model to the slot, then hit sync. When you replace a patch in your guitar, it should have a red exclamation mark (or line? I forgot) next to it just like the Sync button has.
Does it go back to an acoustic even after that?
