UX2 crackling/popping during playback

I am having the following problem with my new computer, the Pod Studio UX2 works fine with my old (and inferior) laptop, as well as my macbook.
When playing audio, whether through itunes, google chrome, ableton etc, I hear crackling/popping noises every 10 seconds or so. Switching windows, scrolling down pages quickly, starting programs, etc seem to exacerbate the problem. I have tried everything recommended here http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-4282, to no avail.
Intel Pentium G850 2.9GHZ dual core
4GB RAM
Win 7 SP1 64 bit
Any ideas?
Thanks
I have the same problem. I've just bought a new pc with windows 7 64 bit edition . Never had this problems on my old daw with windows xp. I tried everything and line 6 ux2 has this crackling noise problem.
How can we use our new device when the crackling makes it substandard? (POD HD500)
IMAC27 - 3GHZ (quad), 8GBRAM what is up - dispose in a large fire?
I had the same issue and I found that it went away by 1) plugging it into a 2.0 usb port then in podfarm I went preferences>hardware>tonedirect settings and changed the bit rate from 16 to 32bit and buffer size to extra large. Give it a shot! ![]()
I had the same problem but I think I found the solution.
My PC runs Windows 7 Pro 64bit.
The problem was the CPU power saving feature enabled: in "Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Power Options" I've change the plan to "High Performance" and now my UX2 works fine (finally).
Hope this could help someone.
