Playing through headphones - which bang for your buck are best??(

Received my 500 today - finally have the DT25 / 500 rig....
Happy as an Aussie with a sheep.
I've always found distortions through headphones to be fizzy and nothing like what it actually sounds like.
Granted I'm using cheapish ones ($60) - so is there an industry standard headphone to use?
Not a real expensive one but a good bang for your buck one? I'd spend $150...
Cheers.
Glad to hear you having fun.
The question around headphones is very common and there are many reported as good by the community. Have a look through some of the posts in the search here --> http://line6.com/support/search.jspa?resultTypes=&dateRange=all&peopleEnabled=false&q=best+headphones&containerType=14&container=2221&containerName=POD+HD&username=&rankBy=relevance&numResults=15
Off the top of my head ... HD280s seem popular but beware if you have a large head as they do have some grip.
Try this before buying anything... Plug the line outs into a stereo amp then plug your phones into that and see how it sounds. The headphone out on the POD sucks. You'll be chasing your tail... That said I like Shure SRH440's . If you have a CMoy mint tin amp that can help the POD headphone out sound "better" but the best is just to forget about it.
